INVISIO Headsets receives breakthrough order for TETRA-market

11 December 2009 · Press Release
Stockholm, December 11th, 2009
INVISIO Headsets (IVSO) has received a breakthrough order on the so-called
TETRA-market for headsets to public safety users in Portugal. The order is
valued at approximately 2 MSEK and is for INVISIO® M3, that uses INVISIO's
patented Bone Conduction technology for clear communication in demanding to
extreme environments.

”It is not primarily the size of the order that pleases us, but more the fact
that this is an order for headsets for use with the digital communications
network TETRA and that this order is an important reference for us. It is one
of many segments where we see a large market for our products. TETRA-networks
are being launched globally and Sepura, who received this order in Portugal, is
one of the leading radio manufacturers” says Lars Højgård Hansen, CEO at
INVISIO Headsets.

The INVISIO® M3 headsets will be delivered during the first quarter of 2010 and
will be used in a communication solution together with Sepura TETRA radios.
Sepura plc is a leading supplier of TETRA radios to public safety users and
recently announced a major order from the Portuguese Government.
INVISIO Headsets patented microphone technology Bone Conduction picks up speech
from vibrations in the jawbone instead of using a traditional, external
microphone. The technology provides clear communication in demanding to extreme
conditions.
“Our technology is superior for providing clear communication in extreme
environments where wind and high noise could potentially disturb important
communication and we are convinced that many more professional users will
realize that” says Lars Højgård Hansen, CEO at INVISIO Headsets.
INVISIO Headsets is a member of the SEPURA Solutions Partner Programme that
aims to stimulate the growth of new solutions and services for the benefit of
the global TETRA user community. With an emphasis on quality, the SEPURA
programme is targeting specialist companies that are capable of delivering
high-value, commercial-grade solutions and services that genuinely serve public
safety needs.

About TETRA
Terrestrial Trunked Radio (TETRA) is a digital trunked mobile radio standard
developed by the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI). The
purpose of the TETRA standard was to meet the needs of traditional Professional
Mobile Radio (PMR) user organisations such as those listed below.
The air interfaces, network interfaces as well as the services and facilities
are specified in sufficient detail to enable independent manufacturers develop
infrastructure and radio terminal products that would fully interoperate with
each other. For example, radio terminals from different manufacturers can
operate on infrastructures from other manufacturers. The ability for full
interoperability between different manufacturer's products is a distinct
advantage of open standards developed by ETSI. As the TETRA standard is
supported by several independent manufacturers this increases competition,
provides second source security and allows a greater choice of terminal
products for specific user applications.
